Some physical actions have been implemented effectively to meet the water challenges. China hopes actively promote international collaboration and find solutions to the crucial water issues by sharing the latest research outcomes, experiences and lessons learnt in water technologies and management with other countries.
The International Conference for Urban Water Development, the most important international event in China water industry, was initiated in 2005 by four Chinese government departments including the Ministry of Construction, National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and State Environmental Protection Administration of China.
